Kristi Leach

I work as a technical communications specialist for a software company in Clearwater, Florida. I have a B.A. in Creative Writing from Eckerd College. I took a great Feature Writing class there with Fred Wright, Jr. All of my instructors there were excellent, but that was when I first decided I would like to start my own publication some time.

I have lived just outside of St. Louis, Missouri, and in Sarasota, but by far the majority of my life has been spent living in West Pasco County. I went to Ridgewood High School, New College, and St. Petersburg College before graduating from Eckerd.

For as long as I have lived here, I get lost in an embarrassing number of neighborhoods. Plus there are a ton of things I still don’t know about this place. Blue Sink is the perfect excuse to wander aimlessly around the county and talk to people.

Meghan Sheehan

I live in Port Richey with my fiancé, Bill; our two dogs, Bella and Harley; and our cat, Zoe. I grew up in West Pasco–New Port Richey to be exact–and have lived in the area most of my life. We are an active fam, often taking advantage of living near the water by visiting the beaches or going kayaking. We take our pups wherever we can, whether on a jog around town or rollerblading the neighborhood.

I attended River Ridge High School and graduated in 2002. I went on to obtain my B.A. in Journalism from the University of South Florida–go Bulls! I now work in Clearwater as the associate editor of Nursery Retailer magazine, Garden Chic magazine (both national garden retail trade magazines) and Interiorscape magazine (a national interior “plantscape” trade magazine).

Angélique Weger

True story: When I left my last job, everyone who attended the going-away party made a point to wear zany headwear in honor of the many “hats” I had worn during the during my three years at the museum. That image came back very vividly to me as I attempted to write this bio and summarize who I am and what I do in some concise fashion. Obviously, I’m not succeeding!

I’m 30 years old, a passionate advocate for nonprofits, a self-taught artist, and a maker of things ranging from paper to beer. I’ve been married for six years, am raising a teenager, and share my home with a terrier and three cats with geeky names.

My responsibilities with Blue Sink Monthly are mainly in the design and maintenance of the web site, but my interest in its subject is much deeper. I wasn’t born here and lived in a variety of places, but landed in Pasco County twice for just over five years (attending Ridgewood High School 1993-96 and from 2006 to the present). For me, this venture is an opportunity to more deeply explore and appreciate my surroundings.
